You will typically use this type of valve if you want a solution that does not take much space and where there is no need to regulate the heat regularly. Since the control is manual and not thermostatically controlled, the valve will be very sensitive and not much need to be screwed on the valve head to set the temperature. If you want a valve with a thermostat, you should choose type 120, 121, 220 or 221 instead.
